Here is a check list of initiatives to consider…
- Require background checks.
- “Red Flag” requirements to report dangerous and mentally ill people to law enforcement.
- Required after-purchase training.
- Include gun shows and buying-on-the-street in background check and training requirements.
- Ban military-style weapons for citizen purchase.
- Impose limits on ammunition purchase.
- Voluntary buy-pack program (successful in Australia).
- Increase minimum age for purchase.
- As stated by the Atlantic victims of school mass shootings should refuse to return to school until effective national controls are approved.
- As I stated in my previous post (Lesson 625) the news media should continue to report the gun control story long after news interest wanes.
- Fight everyway you can for rational gun laws that continue to protect citizen gun rights.
Excellent; also need to limit size of ammo magazines (anything that holds 10 or more rounds is considered a magazine)

That was intended to be included in my number 6… I guess I should have spelled that out better.
I will use this list in my discussion of the issues tomorrow. You can clarify that point.
Watched the tournament on TV. Both the club and city got lots of praise. Shootout ending was exciting for sure! Watched for you and Sherry in the crowd, but couldn’t spot you.
